UP by-election: After BSP, Chandrashekhar Azad announced candidates for 3 seats, know who got the ticket

By-elections are to be held on 10 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. All the parties have geared up for this. But a very interesting political ‘war’ is being seen between BSP and Chandrashekhar Azad’s party Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram). While BSP has announced to contest in the by-elections after a long time, Chandrashekhar Azad has also geared up after his success in the Lok Sabha. Meanwhile, Azad Samaj Party has also announced its candidates on three seats.

Chandrashekhar Azad’s party has nominated Chaudhary Satpal from Ghaziabad Sadar seat, Zahid Hasan from Mirapur seat of Muzaffarnagar and Dheeraj Maurya from Majhawan seat of Mirzapur. The party has said that it will soon announce the names of candidates for the remaining seven seats. This information was given by the party’s state president Sunil Kumar Chittor.

Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party has announced its candidates from Milkipur and Meerapur. Ram Gopal Kori has got the ticket from Milkipur. Chandrashekhar Azad’s close aide has been made its candidate from Meerapur. Let us tell you that in 2017 also Ram Gopal Kori contested the assembly elections from Milkipur on a BSP ticket. He was at third place then. In 2017, Ram Gopal Kori got 54000 votes as a BSP candidate.

Let us tell you that BSP had made a big move by giving ticket to Shah Nazar from Mirapur seat of Muzaffarnagar. Actually, Shah Nazar is the District Panchayat President of BSP and has been associated with Chandrashekhar Azad’s party. In such a situation, Mayawati has made Chandrashekhar’s close aide her candidate in Mirapur.

The Election Commission has not announced the dates for the by-elections to be held on 10 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. The suspense still remains regarding the dates of voting on these seats. Let us tell you that out of the 10 seats vacant for the by-election, five – Sisamau, Katehari, Karhal, Milkipur and Kundarki – were with the SP. Whereas, Phulpur, Ghaziabad, Majhawan and Khair were with the BJP. The Meerapur seat was with the BJP’s ally Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD).
