In Ghaziabad, UP, adjacent to Delhi, a 42-year-old man named Omveer committed suicide by shooting himself. The deceased person used to work in a private company in Noida. This incident of suicide took place in Prakash Vihar Colony where the person took his own life.
According to a news agency report, Loni Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Surya Bali Maurya said that the police have recovered a 315 bore country-made pistol and three live cartridges from near the body.
According to the report, the man died on the spot due to a bullet injury in the head. At the time he took his own life, the rest of the family was on the ground floor. The ACP said that the family members heard the gunshot and ran upstairs where they found Omveer soaked in blood.
The police have collected fingerprints on the pistol and sent the body for post-mortem. Police sources said that a few hours after the incident, the deceased’s father Ashok Tomar reached the spot and alleged that Omveer committed suicide because of his wife Poonam. The deceased’s father said that Omveer and Poonam were married 21 years ago and they have three children. Police said that the matter is being investigated.
