In Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, a young man was brutally beaten up on the charge of stealing Ridge gourd. The young man’s hands and legs were tied and he was beaten up. People present on the spot made a video of this incident and made it viral on social media. In the video, the young man can be seen pleading to be let go, but no one listened to him. This incident is said to have taken place on Sunday.
After the video went viral, the police took cognizance of the matter and brought both the parties to the police station. Both the parties have filed a case against each other. It is being told that Jalaluddin, a resident of village Sakras in Baheri area, plucked the Ridge gourd grown in Indrapal’s field. A dispute broke out between the two over this.
A youth was beaten up on the charge of stealing Ridge gourd
It is alleged that some people including Chandrapal and Indrapal tied Jalaluddin’s hands and legs and beat him brutally after making him lie on the ground. It can be seen in the video that the person being beaten is begging for mercy but the crowd is standing and watching the spectacle. This entire incident is being reported from village Sakras of Baheri police station area.
Police registered a case from both the sides
The police called both the parties to the police station and questioned them. Jalaluddin filed a case of assault and Indrapal filed a case of theft of Ridge gourd against Jalaluddin. The police say that the matter is being investigated and further action will be taken accordingly.
