A case of brutality against an 85-year-old woman has come to light in Bareilly, UP. The incident took place in the Hafizganj area of the district, where on Monday a man raped an 85-year-old woman living in the neighbourhood, after which the woman died on the spot. The police have arrested the 35-year-old accused.
According to the police, the accused is Rakesh, a 35-year-old neighbour who is an alcoholic. The victim woman was living alone at home after the death of her husband and son. The victim’s brother and sister-in-law live in the neighbourhood and her daughter-in-law lives with them. When the daughter-in-law went to the victim’s house on Monday afternoon, she was shocked to see Rakesh raping her mother-in-law. The daughter-in-law raised an alarm due to which the accused fled from the spot. The family immediately informed the police.

He told that according to the daughter-in-law, when she went to the victim’s house at around one o’clock in the afternoon, she got scared after seeing Rakesh raping her mother-in-law and started shouting. Due to which the accused Rakesh fled from the spot and the family immediately informed the police. On the other hand, the elderly woman died after the incident. The police have arrested the accused neighbor and he is being questioned.
