UP: 28.01% students left the constable recruitment exam on the fourth day, 62 arrested including 3 constables so far, 412 suspects caught

UP Police Constable Exam 2024: Today is the fifth and last day of the Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Examination. About 4.8 lakh candidates are appearing for the examination in each shift. Tight security arrangements have been made to conduct the examination in a peaceful and fair manner. Many senior officers including DGP Prashant Kumar are inspecting the examination centers. Due to tight security, 412 suspicious candidates have been caught in the first four days of the examination. Many candidates have been arrested in cases of cheating and other irregularities.

Lakhs of candidates have participated in this examination conducted for recruitment to a total of 60244 constable posts. Today’s examination is being conducted at 1174 examination centers in 67 districts of the state. Cases of cheating and other irregularities in the examination are a matter of concern. With a large number of candidates being arrested, it is clear that some people are trying to rig the examination.

62 candidates including 3 constables arrested, 412 suspects arrested
In the fourth day of the examination, 22 people were arrested, 19 FIRs were registered and 94 suspicious candidates were caught in both the shifts. In the last four days of examination so far, 62 candidates including 3 constables and solvers have been arrested and 59 FIRs have been registered. After the fourth day’s examination is over, 412 suspicious candidates have been caught so far. Although the suspicious candidates who were caught were allowed to appear in the examination, but their result will be declared after verification of the documents. Today, on the last and fifth day of the examination, many officers including DGP Prashant Kumar are also inspecting the examination centres.

28.01% candidates left the exam on the fourth day
A total of 9,63,613 candidates had applied for the fourth day’s exam. 8,03,842 candidates also downloaded their admit cards. Despite this, only 6,91,936 candidates appeared for the exam. That means, after filling the form, 28.01 percent of the candidates left the exam on the fourth day, out of which 13.4 percent were those who had also downloaded the admit card.

Let us tell you that the written recruitment examination for UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam is being conducted on 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 August 2024. More than 48 lakh candidates had applied for a total of 60,244 vacancies. A few days after the completion of the examination, the Uttar Pradesh Police Promotion Recruitment Board (uppbpb) will issue a provisional answer key and give an opportunity to register objections.
