Road accident in Unnao, 18 dead

unnao road accident, 18 people were killed and 19 others injured in a collision between a bus and a tanker on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Unnao district on Wednesday. Officials said that the incident took place near Jojikot village in Behta Mujawar police station area at around 5 am. Everyone was saddened to hear about this tragic accident. From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the President and opposition leaders expressed grief over the accident. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also expressed grief over the accident. The Prime Minister has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh. The PMO said that the families of each deceased in the Unnao accident will be given Rs 2 lakh from PMNRF. The injured will be given Rs 50 thousand.

Message from President Draupadi Murmu

President Draupadi Murmu also expressed grief over the incident and termed it “extremely sad”. An official statement from Rashtrapati Bhavan posted on X said, “The news of the death of many people in a road accident on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh is extremely saddening. I express my deepest condolences to the family members of those who have lost their lives in such a sudden death and pray for the speedy recovery of those injured.”

Rajnath expressed condolences

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh also expressed grief over this tragic accident. He posted, The road accident in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh is extremely sad and heart-wrenching. The local administration is engaged in treating the injured. I express my condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in this accident on their irreparable loss. May God give them strength. May their families get strength to bear this grief.

Yogi said- very sad and heart breaking

At the same time, Chief Minister Yogi posted on Twitter and said, the loss of life in the road accident in Unnao is extremely sad and heartbreaking. My condolences are with the bereaved families. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to give a place to the departed souls in his lotus feet and speedy recovery to the injured.

Kharge expressed condolences

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge expressed grief over the tragic incident on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway and said, the death of 18 people in a tragic road accident on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway in Unnao is extremely sad. We express our deepest condolences to the bereaved families of the victims. We wish for the speedy recovery of all those injured in the accident. The administration is requested to leave no stone unturned in helping the victims.

18 killed, 19 injured

District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi said that the double-decker bus going from Siwan in Bihar to Delhi was moving at a high speed and hit the milk tanker from behind. Earlier it was said that the tanker had hit the bus. The District Magistrate said that a detailed investigation is being done in the case. Additional Director General of Police (ADG) SB Shirodkar said that 18 people died in the accident, including 14 men, three women and a child. He said that 19 people were injured in the accident.

Area Magistrate Bangarmau Arvind Kumar said that the collision was so severe that both the bus and the tanker overturned. He said that the drivers of both the vehicles were also among those who lost their lives. Kumar said that after receiving the information, the team of Bangarmau Kotwali and Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) reached the spot and took out the people trapped in the bus and admitted them to the hospital where their condition is said to be stable.
