Anantnag if bhagwati temple, The Uma Bhagwati temple located in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir has been reopened after 34 years. After the renovation work of the temple, its inauguration ceremony was held. After which it was opened for devotees. A new idol of the goddess was installed in the temple. Which has been brought from Rajasthan. After the temple opened, the devotees performed puja.

Union Minister Nityanand Rai was also present at the inauguration

The ancient temple of Goddess Uma in Anantnag has once again been opened for devotees. This temple has been opened after a gap of 34 years. A large number of devotees used to visit the Uma Bhagwati temple before the 1990s. This temple was opened during the inauguration ceremony on Sunday in the presence of Union Minister Nityanand Rai. The idol of Goddess Uma has been brought from Rajasthan for the temple. Which was installed in the sanctum sanctorum amidst religious chanting.

Local people expressed happiness

Local Kashmiri Pandits and Muslims expressed their happiness on this special occasion. A Muslim local resident said that “We are ready to help our Pandit brothers in every possible way.” He said that he is happy that after 34 years a religious ceremony has been organized in the temple.
