The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is continuously taking action against corruption. In Hamirpur district, a Lekhpal and Junior Assistant have been suspended after their video taking bribe went viral. An FIR will also be registered against these employees.
In Hamirpur, a consolidation accountant and a junior assistant have been suspended for being involved in bribery. Along with suspending both the officers, departmental and disciplinary action has been recommended against them.
Apart from this, both of them have been attached to the settlement officer consolidation office and instructions have been given to register an FIR against them. According to news agency PTI, Consolidation Commissioner GS Naveen said that the matter came to light when the video of consolidation accountant Prakhar Chaudhary and junior assistant Prashant Pandey taking and giving bribe went viral on social media.

Assistant Consolidation Officer Khalid Anjum investigated the matter and found both the officers guilty in the initial investigation. Anjum submitted his report to the Settlement Officer Consolidation Hamirpur who later suspended the employees. He recommended departmental and disciplinary action against them and attached them to the Settlement Officer Consolidation Office.
Consolidation officers Vimal Kumar and JK Pushkar have been appointed as investigating officers. Additional Consolidation Commissioner Anurag Patel said that instructions have been given to register an FIR against both the accused.
