Trump Injured, Suspect Killed in Shooting at Pennsylvania Rally

Former President Donald Trump was injured in a shooting at his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday. According to multiple news reports, at least one attendee was killed and another was wounded in the incident.

The shooting occurred as Trump was speaking on stage. Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots, after which Trump was quickly ushered off the stage by Secret Service agents . Trump was seen with blood on the right side of his face, indicating he may have been struck by a bullet or shrapnel .

The suspected gunman was killed at the scene by law enforcement . Pennsylvania Republican Senate candidate Dave McCormick, who was seated in the front row, said it appeared someone behind him had been shot and there was “lots of blood” .

President Joe Biden received an updated briefing on the incident from Homeland Security officials, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said the investigation was a “top priority” . Lawmakers from both parties, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, condemned the violence and expressed concern for Trump’s wellbeing .
