Trump Declares Love for Musk at Michigan Rally After Assassination Attempt

At his first campaign rally since the assassination attempt, former President Donald Trump professed his love for Elon Musk in front of over 10,000 supporters in Grand Rapids, Michigan. With a bandage on his injured right ear, Trump enthusiastically told the crowd, “I love Elon Musk. Do we love him? I love him.”

Trump praised Musk for his initiatives and accomplishments, both on Earth and in space. The former president’s verbal appreciation for Musk comes after the Tesla and X CEO officially endorsed Trump’s 2024 campaign within 30 minutes of the shooting at Trump’s Pennsylvania rally.

Musk’s support for Trump has reportedly included plans to donate $45 million a month to a pro-Trump PAC from July through October, totaling $180 million. The billionaire also announced he would be moving the headquarters of SpaceX and X from California to Texas, citing a new law protecting transgender children.

Despite some past tensions, Trump and Musk’s relationship appears to have reached a new level of mutual admiration as the 2024 election approaches. The former president acknowledged that Musk’s endorsement helps his case, and it is expected that Musk will have a say in decisions Trump makes if he becomes president again.
