Cyber criminals have found a new way to prey on innocent people, where they are sending a fake message. Information about this fake message has been given by PIB Fact Check. PIB has asked to be cautious of this message and not to click on the link present in it.
PIB Fact Check has posted a post on the X platform (old name Twitter). In this post, they have given information about a message which is circulating a lot these days. There is also a link with it.
Name of telecom regulator TRAI used
In this, the name of telecom regulator agency TRAI has been used and it has been said that TRAI is giving 3 months of free recharge, which is being given due to the recent increase in the price of recharge plans.

Free recharge for 3 months is fake
This fake message said, free recharge for 3 months, you will get 200GB super fast 4G/5G data, along with this you will get the benefit of unlimited calling. This offer is valid till 31 July. This message is completely fake.

PIB Fact Check gave the details
PIB Fact Check said in its post that beware of this fake message. No free message is being given by TRAI. Usually such messages contain a link on which you are asked to click.

These clicks can make you a victim of cyber fraud. In this, they can steal sensitive data from the mobile. One needs to be cautious about such messages.
