latehar news, A tragic accident took place in Jharkhand’s Latehar district on Thursday morning. Five pilgrims died of electric shock here early in the morning while three others were burnt. Police gave this information. According to the police, the vehicle of the pilgrims came in contact with a high voltage wire, which caused this accident. He said that this accident took place at around three in the morning in Tam Tam Tola under Balumath police station area. The pilgrims were returning from Baba Baidyanath Temple in Deoghar when their vehicle collided with an electric pole.
Five people were killed and three others sustained burn injuries when a high-voltage wire fell on their vehicle, Balumath sub-divisional police officer Ashutosh Kumar Satyam said. The injured were admitted to a hospital, police said.

After the accident, the truck driver fled leaving his vehicle at the spot, but was later arrested. An FIR was lodged against the driver Kuldeep (27) at Kherki Daula police station, police said. The incident occurred around 2.50 am on Wednesday, when a Kanwaria named Hemant Meena was going to Kotputli in Rajasthan along with other Kanwariyas, police said. A senior police officer said Hemant Meena died on the spot, while two other Kanwariyas from his village, Abhishek Meena and Yogesh Kumawat, were seriously injured.
