After the rain in the evening, the basement of a coaching institute located in Old Rajendra Nagar was flooded. Delhi Police said that many students got trapped in it due to waterlogging. The NDRF team has recovered the bodies of three girl students from the spot. According to officials, NDRF team has been deployed on the spot to carry out the rescue operation. At the same time, Delhi Fire Department has said that search and rescue operations are going on at the spot. Many students are feared to be trapped in the basement. However, due to low visibility and waterlogging in the basement, divers and NDRF are facing problems in the rescue operation. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday said that it has attached assets worth more than Rs 298 crore of a Chennai-based Chettinad Group company as part of its investigation into a money laundering case.
The ED case was registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) based on a complaint by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) against former officials of Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO), Chennai, and South India Corporation Private Limited (SICPL).
