Thousands of people took to the streets to protest against racism amid violence in Britain, Muslim Council made this appeal

Violence has been going on in Britain for the past several days. Immigrants are being targeted. Meanwhile, thousands of people took to the streets of England on Wednesday to protest against racism and show solidarity with immigrants and ethnic minorities. At the same time, officials have warned that those involved in the riots will not be spared and will be given severe punishment.

On the other hand, the Muslim Council of Britain has appealed to the Muslim community of the country to stay safe and united in this time of ‘hatred and violence’. This violence spread in Britain is being described as the biggest riot in the last 13 years.

Why is there violence in Britain?

Violence is taking place in Britain after clashes between anti-immigration protesters and counter-protesters after the killing of three girls in north-west England. There is unrest across the country, stone pelting and arson have become common. British police have also warned that more violence is likely in the coming times. Talking to the media, PM Starmer said that there will be arrests, charges and convictions, “no matter what the reason behind it.” The Prime Minister warned those involved in the protests, “Those who participate in this will regret it.”
