There is good news for the candidates preparing for UPSC, one of the toughest exams in the country. Telangana’s new Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has started a new scheme for the candidates who pass the UPSC prelims exam. Under this new scheme, the candidates of Telangana who pass the UPSC prelims exam will be given an amount of Rs 1 lakh by the government. So that the candidates can prepare well for the mains exam.
These candidates will be able to avail the benefits of the scheme
The Telangana government has announced to give Rs 1 lakh to the candidates who will pass the UPSC prelims exam in Telangana. This financial assistance is being provided by Singareni Collieries. However, only a few categories of candidates will be able to take advantage of this scheme. To be eligible for this scheme, candidates must belong to the General (EWS), BC, SC or ST category and be a permanent resident of Telangana. Additionally, they must pass the UPSC preliminary examination and their family income should be less than Rs 8 lakh. Financial assistance can be availed only once during the attempt to pass the civil services examination. Candidates working on permanent posts in central, state or government sector organizations will not be able to avail the benefits of this scheme.

Why is Telangana CM angry after announcing the scheme?
While launching the scheme, Revanth Reddy said that unemployed youth have faced a lot of challenges in the last decade due to paper leak in TGPSC exam. To solve these issues, our government has made it a top priority to help the unemployed. Within three months of coming to power, we issued appointment orders to fill 30,000 posts. We also took note of the complaints of the candidates and postponed the Group 2 exam. Our biggest priority is to solve the problems of the unemployed and we are committed to conduct the examination efficiently and in a planned manner.
Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka called the program historic and said that this is the first time in the history of the state that the government has provided financial assistance for UPSC Mains preparation. This is a historic decision. Our goal is that everyone should pass the Mains and perform well in the interview. The government is committed to support the students in every possible way to help them fulfill their dreams.
