Thieves raided the bungalow of former minister and Congress MLA Jaivardhan Singh in Madhya Pradesh’s capital Bhopal. More than 12 thousand rupees in cash was stolen from the MLA’s official bungalow located at Char Imli. In this case, the MLA’s father and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Digvijay Singh has surrounded the Bhopal Police.

Senior Congress leader and MP Digvijay Singh said, “When there is bidding for (postings) in police stations, this is bound to happen. There was a theft at Jaivardhan Singh’s official residence. What can be expected from the Bhopal Police Commissioner?”

In fact, thieves broke into the government bungalow of Congress MLA Jaivardhan Singh and stole cash worth more than Rs 12,000. Jaivardhan’s father, senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh, criticized the state’s BJP government over the theft in the bungalow located a few steps away from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) office.

Regarding this, Habibganj police station inspector Ajay Kumar Soni said, we received information about theft in bungalow D-21 on August 13. The lock of the room where the MLA’s staff lives was broken. Rs 12,000 to 15,000 kept in a briefcase inside the cupboard was missing. We are taking the help of the Forensic Science Laboratory team.

The police officer said that some people roaming in the area have been detained for questioning. Inspector Soni said, we are also examining the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area. However, the MLA could not be contacted for comment.
