The name of IAS officer Sonia Meena often remains in the news. Sonia Meena, a resident of Rajasthan, cleared UPSC in the year 2013, she got 36th rank all India. Sonia achieved this feat in her first attempt itself. After completing the training, she has been posted in different districts of Madhya Pradesh and currently Sonia is the District Collector of Narmadapuram. During her 11 years of service, Sonia has taken action against countless criminals, goons and mafias.
Sonia Meena has the image of a strict officer. She is originally from Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. Sonia Meena’s father Teeka Ram Meena is also a retired IAS officer. He has been an IAS of Kerala cadre. Sonia Meena has previously worked as Managing Director Primitive Tribe Area Development Schemes, Managing Director Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation and Managing Director of MP Employment and Training Council. When Sonia was posted as SDM in 2017, she took action against mining mafia Arjun Singh. According to media reports, wherever Sonia Meena lived, action was definitely taken against mining and liquor mafia.
Sonia Meena who did not follow the judge’s instructions
According to media reports, Madhya Pradesh High Court judge GS Ahluwalia had directed Narmadapuram collector Sonia Meena to be present in court during the hearing of a land related case, but Sonia Meena did not reach the court and sent ADM DK Singh in her place. During this, the judge expressed his anger on the ADM when he showed the collector’s letter. For this, he has asked the Chief Secretary to take action against the collector for his inappropriate conduct.
