Prime Minister Modi’s comment on the budget 2024-25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the Budget 2024-25 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. PM Modi said that this budget will empower every section of the society. Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday presented the full budget for the current financial year 2024-25 in the Lok Sabha. She has presented the budget for the seventh time in a row. After the budget speech of the Finance Minister, the proceedings of the House were adjourned for the day. With this, she broke the record of former Prime Minister Morarji Desai of presenting the budget six times in a row. This is the first budget of the third term of the Prime Minister Modi-led government. Finance Minister Sitharaman introduced the Finance (No. 2) Bill, 2024 in the Lok Sabha after her budget speech of about one hour and 20 minutes.

Prominent opposition leaders including Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, DMK’s TR Baalu ​​and NCP (SP)’s Supriya Sule were also present in the House during the budget speech. Before presenting the budget in the Lok Sabha, Sitharaman, along with Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Choudhary, met President Draupadi Murmu.
