Dharavi Firing: On Monday morning, when people in Mumbai’s Dharavi area were not yet awake, the whole area suddenly reverberated with the sound of gunfire. An unknown shooter fired bullets in the air, creating chaos. The shooter committed this crime in the early morning. After the firing, the accused fled from the spot. Now the police have started searching for that shooter.
Giving information about this incident, a Mumbai Police officer told PTI that this incident is from Dharavi Police Station area. The police officer further said that the incident took place at 5 am in Madina Compound when an unknown shooter fired in the air.
According to the police officer, there were no casualties in this firing. The bullets fired in the air hit the grilled shutter. The marks of which can be clearly seen on the shutter. After the incident, the accused fled from there. But he could not be identified yet.
The police have registered a case under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code (9BNS). The police officer further said that apart from the police, the crime branch is also conducting a parallel investigation in this case. The police want to catch the shooter and know his motive.
The footage of CCTV cameras installed around the crime scene is being examined. Mobile surveillance is also being used. After this incident, people of the area were terrified.
