They were selling ice cream mixed with whiskey to children! The officers who came to raid the parlor were shocked

A shocking incident has come to light from Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Authorities have seized ice cream that was laced with whiskey and was being sold to children.

Eleven and a half kilograms of whiskey-laced ice cream seized

The excise department officials have seized 11.5 kg of whiskey-laced ice cream from a parlor in Jubilee Hills. The seized ice cream had 100 ml of whiskey mixed in it per kg and was being sold at high prices.

Pradeep Rao, the officer who led the raid, said that 23 boxes of alcohol-containing ice cream were seized which the man was selling. The officers have arrested Dayakar Reddy, Shobhan and others involved in the production and sale of whiskey-containing ice cream. The ice cream parlor was being run by Sharath Chandra Reddy.

An ice cream ad was running on Facebook

During investigation, the officials also found that this intoxicating ice cream was being advertised on Facebook to lure customers including children and youth. Most of the people who consumed this ice cream were unaware that it contained alcohol. The Excise Department has warned of strict action against those involved in the manufacture and distribution of such products.

Officials have also advised people to check the ingredients of ice cream before giving it to their children from ice cream parlors.
