‘They are happy with drugs… so much bloodshed’, said Kangana Ranaut, raised questions on ‘Animal’ makers

Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal movie, released in 2023, was a huge hit and there was a lot of discussion on its topic. The movie was called anti-women. Now MP-actress Kangana Ranaut has given her opinion on this. Kangana has described the movie as full of misogyny. According to the actress, Animal is a movie made just for fun and has no basis.

“It’s like there’s no police.”

Kangana questioned the makers of the film and said that so much blood was shown and there was no law. In an interview to Siddharth Kannan, Kangana said- you see what kind of film it is. A patriarchal film creates chaos at the box office, oh. After watching it, it seems that from where are these people coming to clap and whistle? If boys come out with axes and fight… blood, they have come out only with axes. No one is asking them about law and order. They go to school with machine guns, as if there is no police. As if there are no consequences.

“Should not be promoted”

Kangana further said- There is no law and order, there are heaps of dead bodies. Why is there so much fun. It is neither for the welfare of the people, nor for the borders, nor for the welfare of the people. It is just fun. They are happy after doing drugs. And the public comes out to see it. You also look at the public. So what can you say about such a society? This is a matter of concern. Such films should not be promoted and should be condemned. Those who are making them should be criticized.

Was a target earlier too

Let us tell you, even before this, Kangana has shared a post condemning the Animal film. Kangana had written- I have been struggling a lot till now, but the audience is also promoting such films in which women are treated like sex objects. And they are asked to lick shoes. A new trend of films in which women are shown as mere flowers on the wall. Their dignity and clothes are taken away in a violent and insulting manner.

“It is more than horrifying. I remember the time when I entered films. Vulgar item numbers, cheap and stupid roles against big actors were the norm. Years later, while fighting for pay disparity, trying to promote female-led films like Gangster, Woh Lamhe, Fashion, Queen, Tanu Weds Manu, Manikarnika, Thalaivi and Tejas, I offended many people during this time.”

Let us tell you, Animal has been directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. It featured Rashmika Mandanna, Tripti Dimri and Anil Kapoor in lead roles along with Ranbir Kapoor.
