These SUVs come with amazing safety features like 7 airbags… ADAS! Received Global NCAP Safer Choice Award

The cars of the country’s leading vehicle manufacturer Tata Motors are considered to be much better in terms of passenger safety. There are many such vehicles in the company’s portfolio that have received 5-star safety rating in crash tests. Now another new pin has been added to the achievement list of Tata Motors. In fact, the Global New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) has given the Safer Choice Award to Tata Motors’ Safari and Harrier.

Let us tell you that last year Tata Safari and Harrier got 5 star rating for adult and child safety in Global NCAP crash test. Both these cars are among the safest SUVs in the country. Tata Safari’s starting price is Rs 16.19 lakh and Tata Harrier is available for sale at Rs 15.49 lakh. The crash test of both these cars was done under the Safer Cars for India campaign.

How are these cars:

Both Tata Safari and Harrier SUVs come with a 2.0 liter diesel engine. This engine generates 120Ps of power and 350Nm (Newton meter) of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission gearbox. The company claims that Harrier has a boot space of 445 liters and Safari has a boot space of 440 liters.

Both SUVs get a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, a 10-speaker JBL sound system and wireless phone charging. Other features include gesture-enabled powered tailgate, multi-colour ambient lighting, dual-zone automatic AC, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front and second-row seats (in 6-seater version), air purifier, 6-way power-adjustable driver seat with memory and welcome function and 4-way powered co-driver seat with Boss Mode feature.

In terms of safety, these include 7 airbags (6 airbags as standard), electronic stability control (ESC), hill assist, 360-degree camera, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). In the market, these compete with cars like Mahindra XUV 700 and MG Hector.
