There is a political uproar over the death of a robbery accused in a police encounter in Sultanpur, UP. Many opposition leaders including Akhilesh Yadav have raised questions on this encounter. Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has also targeted the BJP and Yogi government over this incident. Let us tell you that on Thursday, the STF killed a criminal with a reward of Rs 1 lakh. The accused’s name was Mangesh Yadav who was involved in the robbery of Rs 2 crore at a bullion trader’s place.

The encounter of Mangesh Yadav in Sultanpur has once again proved that BJP does not believe in the ‘Rule of Law’. The tears of Mangesh’s family are asking the whole country – who will live and who will not, will the court or the police decide this? A professional force like STF is being run like a ‘criminal gang’ under the BJP government, on which the silence of the central government is their clear consent to this ‘Thoko Niti’. Dozens of encounters of UP STF are under question. Has any action been taken against any of those officers till date? After all, who is protecting them and why? Embracing the constitution in front of cameras is just a pretense, when your governments are openly violating it. Justice should be done by impartially investigating all the suspicious encounters in Uttar Pradesh. The blood stains on the uniform must be cleaned.

Akhilesh also raised questions

Akhilesh Yadav also made a sharp comment on the UP government regarding the Sultanpur encounter. He said that other accused in the robbery case were shot in the leg, but Mangesh Yadav was killed in an encounter with the police. Akhilesh alleged that his life was taken on the basis of his ‘caste’. The SP chief wrote in the ‘X’ post – It seems that the ruling party had deep connections with the people involved in the Sultanpur robbery, that is why before the fake encounter, the ‘main accused’ was contacted and made to surrender and other people from the opposition were only shot on their legs and their lives were taken on the basis of their ‘caste’.

Let us tell you that on 28th August, crores of rupees were looted in broad daylight at Bharat Sarafa in Thatheri Bazar of Chowk area in Sultanpur city. According to the information, the robbers looted jewelry worth more than 2 crores. The police was conducting raids at many places in search of the accused. Meanwhile, the STF killed Mangesh Yadav in an encounter. The family members of the deceased also raised questions on this encounter.
