There was a massacre in Gaza, Hamas killed the hostages, then Israelis got angry at Netanyahu

Israel has suffered a major setback regarding the hostages held by Hamas in Gaza. The bodies of 6 hostages have been recovered from a tunnel in southern Gaza. All these bodies have also been identified. The Israeli army says that these hostages were brutally killed even before they reached the spot. US President Joe Biden also expressed his anger and disappointment over the death of the hostages.

According to the Israeli military, the hostages who died in Gaza have been identified as Carmel Gat, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Alexander Lobanov, Almog Sarusi and Ori Danino. Their bodies have been brought to Israel. Military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagar said that a few days ago, imprisoned Farhan Alkadi, a member of the Bedouin community in southern Israel, was rescued a kilometer away.

After this, the soldiers were asked to be more vigilant. However, there was no exact information about the hostages. There are continuous protests for the release of the hostages and the Netanyahu government is also being accused of not taking appropriate steps. After the Hamas attack on October 7, 250 hostages were captured by Hamas. The death of these 6 hostages has further fuelled the anger of the people.

This is the reason why once again a massive protest was seen on the streets of Tel Aviv. Thousands of people came out on the streets with banners and posters in their hands and started shouting slogans against the government of Benjamin Netanyahu. During this, the angry protesters also clashed with the police, in which the policemen removed the crowd and took many violent protesters into custody.

Many innocent people have lost their lives in the Hamas-Israel war that began in October last year. Due to this, the people of Israel, who are worried about the release of hostages held by Hamas, have once again been forced to take to the streets and protest. If the angry protesters are to be believed, the Netanyahu government is only insisting on maintaining control over the Philadelphi corridor on the Gaza-Egypt border.

It is alleged that the Netanyahu government is not taking any necessary steps for the release of the hostages. Omri, brother of a hostage Idan Shtivi, said, “The Israeli army general who knows the Philadelphi corridor very well stands in front of us and says loudly and openly that this is nonsense. Netanyahu does not want to make any deal to release the hostages. This is why we demand the resignation of his government.”

For the last several months, America, Qatar and Egypt have been trying to mediate between Hamas and Israel to impose a ceasefire. But Hamas is adamant on the demand for complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza and a permanent ceasefire. On the other hand, Israel is also talking about stopping the war only after the complete elimination of Hamas. The people of Israel are very angry at these decisions of Netanyahu.

Expressing their anger, people are appealing to the government to reach an agreement as soon as possible to bring the hostages home safely. Nearly 1200 people have been killed so far in this war that has been going on for the last 11 months. Nearly 250 people have been taken hostage. More than 40 thousand Palestinians have died in Gaza so far. Nearly 90 percent of the 23 lakh people have been forced to leave their homes.
