Assam Muslim Population

Union Minister Sukanto Majumdar has given a big statement regarding the demographic change in Assam

After Hemant Vishwa Sharma, West Bengal BJP President, MP and Union Minister of State Sukanto Majumdar has given a big statement about the demographic change in Assam. He said, ‘Demography in Assam has not changed biologically, but has happened in some other way. What the Chief Minister of Assam is saying is correct. The situation in Bengal is more or less the same. In Bengal too, demography was changed by infiltration in the same way.’

Supporting the statement of Assam Chief Minister, West Bengal BJP President, MP and Union Minister of State Sukanto Majumdar said today that ‘not just in Assam, but in the entire eastern India, especially in the states adjoining the border, demographic changes have been seen in the 70 to 75 years of independence, this is a matter of concern for everyone, because this population did not increase biologically, because if the population had increased biologically, children would have been born, grown up, then they would have become citizens, so if this had caused a change in demography, then there would have been no cause for concern, it is a matter of concern because Hemant Vishwa Sharma said that this has not happened biologically, you can see the data, data is science, you will have to adopt it, it means that the demography has changed and it has happened in a completely planned manner. And if its planning is being done from somewhere outside the country and if something like this comes out in the future… then I will not be surprised. If we talk about West Bengal, before and after Independence, there were 3 districts with Muslim population, now there are 9 districts with Muslim population, so where is this happening, how is it happening, the population is increasing so much, the population cannot increase so much in a natural way.

Hemant Vishwa Sharma had said that Assam will become a Muslim state

Hemant Vishwa Sharma expressed his concern over the growing Muslim population in Assam. Hemant made a statement while addressing a public meeting in Ranchi, Jharkhand, after which there was an uproar in the whole country. First of all, many Muslim leaders including Asaduddin Owaisi attacked Hemant Vishwa Sharma. Owaisi said that Hemant Vishwa Sharma is presenting wrong data about the population of Muslims. Hemant Vishwa Sharma said this directly in the public meeting that ‘this issue is not political for him, but a matter of life and death. If this continues, Assam will become a Muslim state by 2041.’

Hemant also spoke openly about the future losses that could be caused by this

Hemant Vishwa Sharma is the state co-in-charge from BJP for the Jharkhand assembly elections and in view of this, he was addressing a public meeting in Ranchi, during which he spoke about the demography of Assam and analyzed the population there, he said that in the year 1951, the Muslim population in the state was 12 percent which has increased to 40 percent today, Hemant also spoke openly about the future losses caused by this.

What is the demography of Assam?

Demographic imbalance in Assam has been there since independence, from 1961 to 1991, there was continuous population imbalance in Assam, it also affected Assamese culture, for the last 40 years, All Assam Student Union ran an anti-foreigner movement against infiltration in Assam, later in 1985, an agreement was signed with the government, in which the government made a provision to protect the culture of the people of Assam, their land, their natural traditions and to protect their population, between the years 1961 to 2011, a biological decline was recorded in the population of Assamese people while the population of the state was continuously increasing, meaning it is clear that the main reason for the increase in population in the state is not biological but infiltration.
