A case of rape of an American woman has come to light in Ajmer. The accused has also been arrested in this case. In this case, it has come to light that the accused man had falsely married the woman. He had told that he was unmarried. Later, when the foreign woman came to know that he was already married, she filed a case against the man accusing him of rape.
Civil Lines Police Station CO Nemichand said that the accused of raping an American woman has been arrested from JLN Hospital. When the rape case was being investigated, it was found that the accused Manav Singh Rathore was injured by a gunshot and was undergoing treatment in the hospital. He was arrested as soon as he was discharged from the hospital.
According to information received from the police, the accused had befriended an American woman on social media. Then he pretended to be unmarried and lured her into marriage and called the woman from Florida to India. Here in Jaipur, he stayed with the woman in a hotel on someone else’s Aadhaar card. The foreign woman has alleged that he raped her during this time.

After this, the accused Manav Singh brought the woman to Ajmer. In Ajmer also, he made the woman stay in a hotel and raped her again on the pretext of marriage. Then on July 15, he married the woman in a temple in Ajmer according to Hindu customs. Even after this, he continued to have relations with her. Whenever the foreign woman asked Manav to take her home, he used to postpone it. The police officer said that the woman had come to India since April.
According to CO Nemichand, one day when the woman reached the accused’s house, the whole secret was revealed. The American woman came to know that Manav Singh was already married and he had married her by lying to her. After this, the victim lodged a zero number FIR in Bundi police station, which was sent by Bundi police to Civil Line police station. The police started investigating the case. Meanwhile, information was received about the accused being admitted to the hospital.
In this case, the police is trying to find out whether the marriage took place in the temple as per the rules of marrying a foreign woman or was it done fraudulently. Because the woman has told that her signature was taken on some paper, which was written in Hindi. The police is also interrogating the accused.
