The wonder of Banarasi Gilori…our Singaporean brother eats Paan…

During his visit to Singapore, Prime Minister Modi invited the business leaders of Singapore to come to India and eat Paan. He even said- Talking about Paan in India is incomplete without Banarasi Paan. So if you want to enjoy eating Paan, come to Banaras, eat Paan, invest in Banaras…

On this invitation of Modiji, I start to get lost in my imagination. This thought also arises in my mind that even if the traders of that place are not able to come to Banaras due to this invitation, what will happen if our people reach Singapore? Or even if the people there also get habits like ours, what will happen there?

By the way, once our country was an agricultural country. Now paan-gutkha is dominant. Here eating paan is an art. It is a culture. It is a tradition. Many artists have given new heights to this art-culture-tradition. Don alias Bachchan sahab had told long ago that After eating the Banaras paan, the lock of your closed mind will open. That is, eating paan opens up the intellect tremendously. After Aryabhatta’s invention of zero, paan lovers have made great discoveries for this country. But history is silent about them. It is sitting with its mouth shut. It is wandering around trying to throw the key in the river. Now if what has happened in our country happens in Singapore… I shudder just thinking about it. If this happens then what will happen there?

Guru, now I am getting drenched in the spirituality of Paan. Please! You also don’t stop me…you won’t be able to stop me, I have gone too far ahead…I have crossed one or two toll booths. My tongue is turning red…my eyes are turning red…my body and the walls of the entire city are also appearing red…. Paan and I, one body, are becoming two souls…I am becoming Paan-Paan…if there is life, there is the world…my heart is Hindustan…the yellow leaf is Banarasi Paan…Jai Banaras…Jai Singapore…stop me…let me pant a little…let me breathe…

Yes, I can see Singapore. My mind is entangled in things like Paan’s Pachkari…Pichkari…Puchkari… Paan is directly related to Peep…If there is Paan then there is Peep…If there is Peep then there is Pichkari…If there is Pichkari then there is Pachkari on the wall… So many modern art paintings are made from red Peep in the entire city but no great art critic has noticed this. Even if some great artist sees it, he would come to these Paan eaters for tuition in the morning and evening… But what to do, the artist of this ‘Pachkari’ made from ‘Puchkari’ remains unknown. The world is not able to get any information about him…

Now just think, what will happen when Banarasi culture reaches Singapore along with Banarasi paan? Just imagine a scene…

Just like the Assi Ghat of Banaras, people have come and sat in a big ground in Singapore. A program is going on in front. The poet of Veer Ras, Dhartimal, is reciting the poem ‘Dhamak’. He has a head like a watermelon on his earth-shaking body. Since his head and body have been mentioned, it is necessary to mention his mouth as well. So he keeps a mouth. In this mouth, he also keeps his tongue, which is behind the teeth. With the help of his teeth and this filament, he is also eating paan…he is reciting the poem by chewing it. Many of his teeth are fake. He has eaten many loose teeth considering them to be betel nut. On which he is complaining to the paan vendor that hey! Nowadays, betel nut has started coming in the form of stone, which can only be eaten by people with stone teeth like him. So, with the help of the thing with which his eating paan is being mentioned, he is reciting a poem full of the power of paan in a fierce form..,

“Clench your fists, raise your head”
Clench your fists, raise your head
Bring the paan, big brother bring the mincemeat
It is the time of separation, bring your eyes full
My beloved is in a foreign land, friend please bring me some betel leaves
bring the revolution, bring the revolution
Time is cruel, desire is burning
Get some Chaman Bahar put in the Paan too…
Bring the revolution, bring the revolution…

Well, the poet has just started. The poem will go on for a long time…please pay attention to the next issue…

The seating arrangement of the people with the Paan roll in their mouths was also amazing. They sat on a wooden plank. They kept 500 grams of peanuts on the side. They kept eating and applauding the poets. When they got too excited, they whistled. In between, the person next to them applauded them and they felt happy that the moment they were waiting for has arrived. Why did you applaud him? On this, relations with the person next to them started being established in such a satvik way that he too, in return, started emphasizing on closer relations. The people around them also came forward to give their blessings on this grand occasion of this new relationship alliance ceremony. Later, with the help of some volunteer-like things, it was taken near the venue of the event of both the relatives and thrown. Imagine…people on the ghat of Singapore with Paan in their mouths…rubbing the sandalwood of words…fighting with each other. Ah! What a scene it would be…

Let’s move from poetry to sports…

If we take the Olympics for example… just think, can anyone compete with these Paan champions of ours… can anyone compete in spitting longer and higher than us? They will bring gold-silver-bronze medals and if you ask them to tell the secret of their success, they will not even open their mouth… they say that they are full of Paan. Who will spit Paan for such a small thing! Anyway, many great battles in the country end only on this point that brother, who will answer him by spitting… the mouth is more precious than you… so let it go… so let it go without fighting. No one knows about this secret… you also don’t tell… now you tell me, if this technology goes to Singapore, then they may get this great discovery of our country patented… anyway, if Putin ever comes to know about this, then the Russia-Ukraine war would end on the third day itself… what to do, the poor fellows don’t eat Paan… they don’t know the love of Paan… well, let it go.

By the way, an unknown poet of the olden times has said a wonderful thing…if you spit facing the sky, it will fall on you…while saying this, it must not have crossed his mind that why will we spit facing the sky? We are experts in spitting on the person in front of us! We will spit on him with force…it is a different matter that if he turns out to be more expert than us, then we have also practiced a lot to lick him quickly…who gets into trouble, you tell me! If these things get exported to Singapore, then what will happen to our originality?

If we look at it from this perspective, then this ‘Puchkari Civilization’ can be considered as the next civilization of our country after the Indus Valley. Tomorrow we can also say that our country’s civilization extended till Singapore. We can mention this Puchkari civilization as proof. We can explain the concept of Greater India…

Now what should I say…there is so much to say..but brother what should I do, my mouth is also full of Paan…so understand a little instead of saying much…don’t take it too seriously and there is no need to be serious while reading this…don’t get all wet after reading it…just keep on thinking about Paan. Because if there is Paan then there is the world, the rest is just a mildly sweet Paan! What should I understand..!!
