‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ star Whitney Levitt says it’s “painful” that co-star Demi Engeman recorded her key

Taylor Frankie Paul was not the only one Secret Lives of Mormon Lives A star involved in an internet scam. Whitney LevittAnother founding member of #MomTok, she made headlines when she posted a video of her daughter dancing in the hospital while she was battling RSV. While Leavitt insists she didn’t post the TikTok for her co-star Demi Engeman Claiming she has video of Levitt admitting otherwise.

in Hulu In the fourth episode of the reality show, titled “The Book of Truth”, Engman tells the other #MomTok members that she has a video admitting to posting the controversial clip while she was recovering from ketamine treatment. But Levitt, who recently spoke with Decider via Zoom, doubled down on her initial stance.

“After many months and days of therapy, no, I did not make that video for effect. You can process something else under that drug and then you’re just spitting out all this stuff,” she said. “So [for Demi] It was so painful to film that and have it and say that in such a personal, intimate moment for everyone.

That was just the beginning of Levitt’s problems with other women. By the end of the first season, not only has most of the cast unfollowed her on social media, but she has also decided to quit #MomTok for good.

Despite removing herself from the group, one person who seems to have stuck by her side Massey Neelywho told Decider, “Whitney and I are very close and I feel like, like, what happened on the show will never change. I think we know each other well.

In a new interview with DECIDER, Leavitt opens up about her husband’s Tinder scandal and whether she’ll ever return to #MomTok, while Neely reveals if she thinks she cheated on Paul after the bombshell confession on social media. Whether guilty. Check out the full interview below.

Verdict: A lot has come from the #MomTok swinging scandal to Taylor’s arrest. What do you hope people take away from the show?

Whitney Levitt: I really hope that people take away more and more for individual viewers that they can just find someone to relate to, find a cast member to relate to whatever they’re going through in their personal life.

Massey Neely: Yes I would agree with that. Like everybody’s going through something – if you’re on TV, if you’re not on TV. And I think it would be great for someone to relate to us, you know, know that they’re enough and they’re worthy and we all have the same struggles.

Macy, you were the first person Taylor met after the swinging scandal. What made you decide to reconnect with him?

MAYCI: I think everything is going down, Taylor behind the scenes — online, she was getting a lot of hate, right? But she was also behind the scenes with our entire #MomTok group. There was a lot of drama going on that I don’t know if it’s even in the show because it happened before we started shooting. But people were really picking him apart and making him feel like a horrible person. And I was like, I never want her to feel that way. I don’t want anyone to think what you did or what happened next. And so I think I, Mikayla, Whitney especially reached out to Taylor. We just wanted to be good friends to him, and I realized we had more in common than I thought, and I wanted to get to know him more.

Whitney, it was so heartbreaking to see you open up about Connor’s Tinder scandal in the first episode. Have you decided to pay attention to that on-camera? And where did you get the courage to do so?

Whitney: It certainly wasn’t, “Hey, let’s go ahead and talk about this today.” It was a specific question that was asked that just happened organically and naturally. I think if it wasn’t like that it wouldn’t be so raw and authentic. But I’m thankful we did. It was hard to be vulnerable in that moment, but I’m thankful we were.

Out of everyone, I think you two have the truest friendship. But even the best of friends can have bumps in the road. Macy, would you say Whitney is completely out of the doghouse now that you missed your launch party?

MAYCI: No [laughs]. She delayed me at the airport in LA. I’m not going to lie, I was a little salty about it. That’s a conversation for a different time. But no, Whitney and I are very close and I think, like, what happened on the show will never change. I think we know each other so well. Like, I know what upsets Whitney. I think he knows what’s bothering me. And I think we know each other so well. Nothing can really change that.

Whitney, it sounds like Demi was really trying to turn everyone against you. I would like to get your response on his claim that you allegedly admitted to posting RSV videos for likes and clout after ketamine treatment?

Whitney: I remember talking about it when we were filming. I’m not sure if it’s in the show, but one, it was a personal moment for me in that treatment. And I’ve never done that before. It is a very strong drug. And even then, when you take the IV out you’re still kind of on it. So I didn’t really feel like I was in the right place. And after many months and days of therapy, no, I didn’t make that video for Klout at all. You can process something else under that drug and then you just spit out all these things. therefore [for Demi] Filming it and keeping it and telling that in such a personal, intimate moment was so painful for everyone else.

Macy, do you think Dakota is guilty of the confession you got? And can you say anything about what came out of the phone call you made to Jenna?

MAYCI: It’s hard to say. That’s a pretty bold confession. I think the tricky part here is that you don’t have all the pieces of the puzzle, right? So it’s like this guy who’s writing this confession might have his entire relationship timeline wrong. So I feel like for me, I wouldn’t say, “Oh, he’s guilty.” You never know what people are doing just to create controversy. Because it is anonymous. If this person had messaged me with their handle, I’d be like, “Okay, this is something that’s probably true.” So in that regard, since it’s anonymous, I’d say it’s like a 10% chance. But if that person wants to come forward with a real username, then [that] Could be a separate conversation. And as for the ending, I don’t want to give anything away. It’s a cliffhanger for a reason and hopefully we have a season 2 to show it all.

By the end of the season, Whitney, you decide to take a step back from #MomTok. But some recent TikTok videos show that you’re back a bit. How was it to be reunited with everyone? And does this mean you’re back for good?

Whitney: That is a difficult question to answer. It’s not like I can’t be in a room with everybody, like, I can do that. But unless, like its fate, I really want to watch the first season before making that decision.

What’s your favorite TikTok trend right now?

MAYCI: Very polite, very nice.

Whitney: I love Jules. i love her

MAYCI: Yes, all those videos. I like to say that now. It might be annoying. My husband, like, probably hates me.
