A prisoner serving life sentence in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, escaped after killing a havildar. According to information, prisoner Shahid Ansari was undergoing treatment at Hazaribagh Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College Hospital. During treatment, he killed havildar Chauhan Hembram, who was on security duty, with an iron rod and escaped.
After the incident, Hazaribagh SP Arvind Kumar Singh, SDO and many other officials are present at the spot. The entire matter is being investigated. The help of forensic team is also being taken in the investigation. Also, an operation is being conducted in the entire area to arrest the absconding prisoner. A few days ago, Shahid Ansari was shifted from Dhanbad jail to Hazaribagh Central Jail.

Shahid Ansari is serving sentence in these cases
Two cases are going on against Shahid Ansari in Dhanbad. A case of rape under sections 341, 323, 354, 356D, 306 has been registered against him in Sudama Deeh police station. At the same time, a case has been registered against him under sections 302, 201, 382 in Patha Heeh police station. The court has sentenced him to life imprisonment in these cases. Ansari is originally from Dhanbad and is also a member of the Prince gang.
Police said that while in jail, he complained of tingling in the right side of his body. He had also applied for treatment at AIIMS. But his application was rejected and he was sent to Hazaribagh Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College Hospital for treatment. He was admitted here for the last 14 days.
