According to the New York Times report, Typhoon Shanshan caused massive destruction in many areas of Japan, due to which power supply to more than 2.5 lakh houses was disrupted.
The New York Times reports that on Thursday a landslide in Gamagori buried a house, killing 3 members of the same family and injuring 2 others. The storm has affected nearly 1 million people across the country and injured more than 40 people.
