A person died a painful death after eating Rasgulla in East Singhbhum, Jharkhand. On receiving the information, the police took the body in their custody and sent it for postmortem. The police have registered an FIR in the case and are investigating every aspect of the death. Meanwhile, the parents and relatives are crying inconsolably. There is mourning all around in the village.
The incident took place in Patmahuliya village of Galudih police station area. Rony Singh, the uncle of 16-year-old Amit Singh, who lives here, works in Angul, Odisha. He had returned home after 3 months. There was an atmosphere of happiness in the house due to the arrival of his uncle. Amit had gone to Galudih railway station by bike to pick up his uncle. On his return, he bought rasgulla from a sweet shop on the request of his uncle and returned home.
After distributing rasgulla to everyone on reaching home, Amit himself started eating rasgulla in excitement. Then suddenly the rasgulla got stuck in his throat. After a while, he started feeling uneasy. He started having trouble breathing. The family took him to the hospital, but the doctors declared him dead. Amit stopped breathing due to suffocation.
Amit’s father Sanjeev Singh said that my son was eating rasgulla while playing a game on his mobile while lying on the bed. In the process, instead of chewing the rasgulla, he swallowed it. During this time no family member was with him. Later when we saw him writhing in pain, we went to him. By then it was too late. Let us tell you that Amit was the only son of his parents. He was a student of 9th class. His father earns a living for the family by farming.
At the same time, the police reached the spot and took the body in their custody and sent it to the subdivision hospital Ghatshila for postmortem. The police is investigating every aspect to find out the truth of the death. The police say that investigation is being done in the case. Further action will be taken only after this.
