Congress had warned of agitation

Let us tell you that Congress had warned of agitation regarding the Nazul Bill. Congress leader and former MLC Deepak Singh said that it seems that there is anger about this bill within the government as well. This is the reason that when Keshav Maurya was presenting this Nazul Property Bill in the Legislative Council, at the same time BJP Legislative Council member Bhupendra Chaudhary demanded to send it to the Select Committee.

What is Nazul property

Let us tell you that Nazul land means such land for which no heir has been found for many years. In such a case, the state government gets the right over these lands. Actually, during the British rule, the British used to capture the lands of princely states and people who rebelled against them. After independence, the government returned the lands to those who claimed these lands with records. On the other hand, the lands on which no one claimed became Nazul land, the right over which was with the state governments. The UP government argues that they will now use Nazul lands for development work.
