The ‘most dangerous’ wolf that spread terror in 35 villages reached Gorakhpur zoo, quarantined

The fourth man-eating wolf that created terror in 35 villages of Bahraich district of UP has reached Gorakhpur Zoo. As soon as the wolf arrived, Gorakhpur Zoo in-charge Dr. Yogesh Pratap and his team shifted it to the designated place.

So far, 4 man-eating wolves who killed humans have been caught. Two of these wolves have been sent to Lucknow Zoo, while one has died. The male wolf that has been sent to Gorakhpur Zoo is the largest in size among the wolves caught so far. Therefore, it is being speculated that this will be the most dangerous wolf.

Chief Medical Officer of Gorakhpur Zoo, Dr. Yogesh Pratap Singh said that the wolf reached Gorakhpur on Thursday night at around 10 pm. Since it was night, he was quarantined. Also, food and water were made available to him separately. As it was late night, much testing could not be done, so he will be tested in daylight on Friday.

When did the terror of wolves start?

Let us tell you that the terror of wolves started from Aurahi village of Bahraich. Here the wolves first attacked two children of 7 years each. A child named Firoz was attacked by a pack of wolves about one and a half months ago. He was sleeping with his mother, when at around 12 o’clock at night a wolf entered the veranda of the house and ran away after grabbing his neck. During this time his mother kept trying to save the child by holding both his legs.

The wolf dragged the child into the field for about 200 meters. When his mother shouted, the villagers gathered and then the wolf left the child in the field near the village and ran away. The bleeding Firoz was taken to the hospital by the family and the villagers, where his life was saved after 13 days of treatment. The marks of the wolf’s bites are still present on his face, neck, head, ears, back and chest and the child shivers at the very mention of the wolf.

MLA came out with a gun at night

To boost the morale of the villagers who are scared of wolf attacks, BJP MLA Sureshvar Singh from Mehsi constituency of Bahraich also went out with his supporters to search for wolves with a licensed gun. His supporters also have modern weapons. He says that this display of guns is to instill confidence in the people and not to take the law in one’s own hands and kill wild animals.

The MLA said that he represents four lakh people and if there is a threat to the people, he himself is going out with a gun to assure the people that they are safe. On the question of inciting people, he said that he is not inciting people to kill wild animals, but is waiting for the forest department to catch these wolves, otherwise if the water goes out of hand, people can do anything.
