The lure of a job and a deal for Rs 5000… this is how a woman got stuck in the quagmire of prostitution

A sensational case of forcing a 20-year-old woman into prostitution has come to light in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The police have registered a case against two women in this case. The accused had lured the victim with the promise of a good job. After this, she was brought to Jabalpur from Thane district of Maharashtra and sold to a woman. There she was beaten up and forced to work in a sex racket.

An official of Rabodi police station said that according to the complainant, she had gone to the house of one of the accused in Diva here on April 17. The accused had told her about a good job opportunity in Jabalpur. After coming here, the accused handed over the victim to another woman in exchange for Rs 5000. After this, he left her there and went away. The second accused forcibly pushed the victim into the sex racket. When she refused, she was also beaten up.

The police officer said that on Friday a case has been registered against two women under the Indian Justice Code and Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. The matter is being investigated. The accused women have not been arrested yet. The police is continuously raiding to catch them. Other people involved in this racket are also being traced. Several police teams are investigating this case.

Let us tell you that in the month of June, the police had busted a high profile sex racket in Thane. Foreign women were being forced into prostitution here. The police arrested a Yemeni man who had helped the Thai women get fake Aadhaar and PAN cards. The accused was identified as Baghdi Abdullah Muged Saad (42). This action was taken on the basis of a secret information in this regard.

A team of the Anti Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of the police raided the hotel. A 44-year-old Thai woman was arrested from there. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shivraj Patil had said that the police also rescued three Thai women from there. During the investigation, the police found out that Abdullah Saad had helped the four women in getting fake Aadhaar and PAN cards. After this, he was arrested.
