The helicopter of Crystal Aviation Company, which faced technical fault during emergency landing at Kedarnath Dham on 24 May 2024, was being transported to Gauchar airstrip by an Air Force MI-17 helicopter. On Saturday morning, when this helicopter was being tried to be brought to the airstrip, it crashed.
Let us tell you that on 24 May 2024, an emergency landing of the helicopter of Crystal Aviation Company was made at Kedarnath helipad due to technical fault. At that time, due to the understanding of the pilot, the helicopter was somehow landed safely and all the passengers were evacuated safely.

To repair this helicopter, the helicopter was being taken to Gauchar airstrip by the Air Force’s MI-17 helicopter. The plan was to take the helicopter to Gauchar by hanging it from the MI-17 at around 7 am on Saturday. When the MI-17 helicopter moved a little forward, its balance started deteriorating due to the effect of wind and the weight of the helicopter. Due to this, the pilot, sensing the danger and to control the situation, dropped the helicopter at an empty place near Tharu camp.
No casualties in the incident
There were no passengers or luggage in the helicopter at that time. After receiving the information, the rescue team reached the spot and inspected the situation. Tourism officer Rahul Chaubey has confirmed that there have been no casualties and has appealed to avoid spreading any kind of rumors about the incident.
After this incident, the concerned officials and rescue team are trying to control the situation and the causes of this incident are being investigated.
