Today is the era of social media and every day new trends start on which people shoot videos. Similarly, these days ‘Tauba-Tauba’ trend is going on on Instagram on which people are doing special dance steps but recently when a girl made a reel on this song, people were left stunned.
Actually, Myntra fashion superstar and well-known influencer Tanumita Ghosh came out on the streets of Mumbai and that too in just a towel. She had wrapped herself in a pink towel and tied another one in her wet hair as if she had just come out of the bathroom. People were shocked to see Tanumita like this on the road. In the caption of the video, Tanumita has written – ‘People of Mumbai must be saying ‘Tauba-Tauba’ after seeing me today.’ Along with the strange outfit, Tanumita is also wearing sports shoes and earrings.
There is a dramatic turn at the end of the video when Tanumita goes ahead and removes the towel on the road and it is seen that she is wearing a beautiful dress inside. People were stunned by this bold stunt of Tanumita. Tanumita’s purpose of attracting people’s attention was also fulfilled.

The video went viral on Instagram, garnering over 1 million views and thousands of likes and shares. Apart from this, people started commenting on it. Some called it shameless while some called it a cheap stunt for views. One user compared Tanumita to celebrities who are seen doing weird things for headlines. Many people called it objectification of women.
Responding to the backlash, Tanumita clarified that the video was from a 2019 show where she was given a special task. She stressed that it should not be taken seriously and is part of an entertainment format judged by celebrities like Sonakshi Sinha, Shaleena Nathani, Manish Malhotra and Dino Morea. However, some people continued to abuse her.
