Bahraich district of UP is in the news, the reason is the terror of wolves. These man-eating wolves have killed 9 people including a woman so far. However, four wolves have been caught. Now the remaining two wolves are yet to be caught. Because, the administration says that only a group of 6 wolves is continuously carrying out these incidents. But the villagers do not agree with this. They believe that the number of wolves is more than this.

According to the news agency, many villagers of Mahsi tehsil of Bahraich said that the number of wolves in the area could be 9 to 10. If all of them are not caught, they can attack anytime. This will create an atmosphere of terror. Meanwhile, Chief Forest Conservator Central Zone Renu Singh said yesterday that so far 4 wolves have been caught, 2 wolves are left, efforts are on to catch them. Soon they will be caught and the atmosphere of fear in the area will end.

Amidst all this, BJP MLA Sureshwar Singh says- Incidents of wolf attacks started on July 17 and since then more than half a dozen people have lost their lives. A review meeting was held in the presence of CM Yogi, in which he gave strict instructions to the officials to ensure the safety of the affected villagers. Teams have been formed to spread awareness and keep an eye on the movement of wolves. At present, there is no need to fear because the police-administration, government, forest department are all alert.

Search operation continues even today

Let us tell you that the search operation for the wolf is still going on in the Kachhar area of ​​Bahraich. Four cages and eight thermosensor cameras have been installed in the area of ​​Haribax Purwa village. Surveillance has also been started with thermal drones. 18 teams are patrolling day and night. At present, more than 50 workers are working on setting up cages and traps.

A team of doctors is also present, who are trying to catch the wolf through tranquilizer. Divisional Forest Officer Barabanki Akash Deep Baghavan and Divisional Forest Officer Bahraich are leading the operation. The movement of the wolf is being tracked through combing of the entire area.

The forest department says that there is a pack of 6 wolves in the area, which have become man-eaters and are attacking people. 4 of these wolves have been caught. Because of the wolves, there is such an atmosphere of fear in 20-25 villages that people are staying awake all night to guard the villages.

The fourth wolf was caught on 29 August. The officials who tranquilized it said that its DNA sample has been taken and now only after testing it will be known whether this wolf belongs to the same group that has committed these crimes.
