The cruel husband reached the police station on foot with his wife’s severed head in his hand and said, “Sir, I killed her… The court sentenced him to death.”

In Banda district of Uttar Pradesh, the court has convicted the accused husband in a case and sentenced him to death. Due to suspicion of character, the husband slit his wife’s throat with a sharp weapon and then showing brutality, he walked on foot from crossroads to the police station with the severed head by holding her hair. Passersby were disturbed on seeing this scene. In this case, the court has convicted the accused husband and sentenced him to death. During this, the prosecution presented 11 witnesses, 5 judges were changed, more than 60 dates were fixed.

This is a case of Neta Nagar in Baberu Kotwali area of ​​the district. Kinnar Yadav (39 years), who lives here, suspected that his wife Vimla Devi had an illicit relationship with someone. On 9 October 2020, he allegedly first killed his wife by slitting her throat with an axe, then attacked a man (the woman’s alleged lover) as well. After this, he walked on the road to the police station holding his wife’s severed head by the hair and told the police officers present there – “Sir, I killed her.”

The passersby and the police were stunned to see the severed head. The police sent the woman’s mutilated body for postmortem and sent the injured lover to the hospital. After this, a case was registered under 302 and other sections and the accused husband was sent to jail. Investigation started. Husband convicted of murdering his wife sentenced to death. Court’s government advocate Vijay Bahadur Singh Parihar said that the incident took place in Baberu Kotwali area on 9 October 2020, in which Kinnar Yadav brutally murdered his wife Vimala, severed her head from the body and walked on the road to the police station. In this case, the court convicted the accused husband and sentenced him to death, and also imposed a fine of 10 thousand rupees.

The verdict came in almost 4 years because one of the witnesses who was injured had left the village. It took 2.5 years to trace him and then the court reached the verdict. We presented 11 witnesses. Nearly 60 dates were fixed in this case and 5 judges were changed.

The reason behind the incident was that the accused husband suspected his wife. Due to which he called the alleged lover home and tried to kill him. However, the young man saved his life by running away. The accused wanted to kill both of them.

SP Ankur Aggarwal said that we are working to complete the process in every court case as soon as possible and get the punishment. I myself monitor it. Today, a death sentence has been given in a murder case after a fair investigation.
