‘The country was pushed into the tragedy of partition for political gain’, said CM Yogi on Partition Horror Day

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Partition Horror Day that the country was pushed into the tragedy of Partition for political gain. He said that it was not just the partition of the country, but the partition of humanity. On this occasion, he attended the tribute meeting organized in Lucknow and also took out a silent march on foot.

CM Yogi had tweeted that our Mother India, who introduced the world to the soulful feeling of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, was pushed towards the tragedy of partition on this day in 1947 for vested political interests. He said that this was not just the partition of the country, but the partition of humanity.

The Chief Minister said that due to this inhuman decision of partition of the country, innumerable innocent citizens had to lose their lives. They had to bear the pain of displacement and had to endure torture. Humble tribute to all the innocent citizens who sacrificed their lives in this inhuman tragedy on ‘Partition Horrors Memorial Day’ today!
