The kind of negligence being shown in government hospitals of Uttar Pradesh can be gauged from a news coming from Basti district. There was chaos in the government district women’s hospital here at midnight when the lives of more than 30 pregnant women admitted in the wards were in danger. Among these pregnant women, some started having breathing problems, some had low blood pressure, while some got fever. After suddenly seeing the same symptoms in so many pregnant women, the hospital authorities disappeared. After which the anger of the patients’ caretakers reached the seventh sky.
Seeing the condition of the female patients deteriorating, the doctor disappeared
As soon as the district administration came to know about this, DM Ravish Kumar himself reached the district women’s hospital with a huge entourage and controlled the situation. According to the information, at around 11 o’clock in the district women’s hospital, the nurse started giving injections to all the pregnant women admitted in the ward. However, shortly after the nurse started giving the injection, everyone’s health deteriorated. When the patients’ relatives complained about this to the doctors, they did not give any answer and everyone disappeared from there.
Timardars alleged that expired injections were given
The attendants alleged that the nurse gave the expired injection. This is the reason why everyone’s health deteriorated. When they complained about this to the doctors, no one listened to them. Also, everyone disappeared from the hospital leaving the patients in pain. Meanwhile, District Officer Ravish Kumar Gupta said that the nurse had given painkiller injection to all the female patients admitted in the ward. After which everyone started having problems. It is strange that everyone fell ill at the same time, which is being investigated, the matter of expired injection is not true.
However, what was the problem with the medicine due to which the patients faced problems? An investigation is being conducted on this. Currently, all the pregnant women whose condition was critical are now out of danger. All of them are being treated by the doctors.
