A shocking incident has happened in Thane, adjacent to Mumbai in Maharashtra. A 14-year-old son was living alone in a flat with his mother’s dead body for four days and no one even knew about it. The people living nearby got to know about it when the smell of the rotting dead body started coming out of the flat.

According to a news agency report, police said that a 14-year-old boy in Thane spent four days with his mother’s dead body. According to the report, a 44-year-old woman died in her flat in a residential complex in Kalyan area but no one came to know about it at that time. The matter came to light when neighbors complained of foul smell in the building.

After this complaint, when the watchman and the neighbours went to the flat on Wednesday to ask about the smell, the boy opened the door. People were shocked to see the condition there and the dead body of the woman and they immediately informed the police. The police who reached the spot said that they found the mutilated body of the boy’s mother in the flat.

The 14-year-old minor boy was identified as Allwyn Daniel while his mother, whose body was found in the flat, was identified as Sylvia Daniel (age- 44).

The deceased woman’s son told the police that his mother died of some illness and he does not suspect any foul play. After the son’s statement, the Khadakpada police have registered a report of the woman’s accidental death, in which there is no mention of the boy’s father.
