INS Brahmaputra, A big update has come out regarding the Indian Navy’s multi-purpose warship INS Brahmaputra. The body of the missing sailor since the fire on July 21 has been recovered. The Navy said that the body of Leading Seaman Seetendra Singh has been recovered today (Wednesday) after an intensive diving operation.

The Navy said, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi and all the personnel of the Indian Navy express their deepest condolences to the family of Seetendra Singh. The Indian Navy stands with the bereaved family in this hour of grief. Let us tell you, after the fire broke out in INS Brahmaputra, a sailor went missing, for which a search operation was being carried out for the past few days.

Following the incident on INS Brahmaputra at Naval Dockyard Mumbai, the Chief of Naval Staff Admiral visited Mumbai on 23 July 24. He reviewed the sequence of events responsible for the accident and the efforts made to locate the missing sailor. During the visit, Admiral Tripathi was briefed on the damage caused to INS Brahmaputra and the repair plan. He directed that all actions should be initiated immediately by the Command and Naval Headquarters to make INS Brahmaputra seaworthy and combat ready, the Navy said.

The warship was tilting to one side

Let us tell you, a fire broke out in INS Brahmaputra on the evening of 21 July. This incident happened when it was being repaired at the Navy’s Mumbai port. The fire was brought under control by the morning of 22 July. However, after the fire incident, the warship tilted to one side (towards the port) and despite all efforts, it could not be straightened. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also took information about the INS incident.
