The Biden administration rolled out tighter chip export restrictions amid China’s industry boom

President Joe Biden’s administration is imposing tough new export controls on a variety of technologies, including semiconductors and quantum computing, in response to China’s growing influence in the global chip industry. Authorities attributed the move to “national security and foreign policy reasons.”
