RSS welcomed the decision

Government employee RSS activities: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has welcomed the central government’s decision to lift the ban on government employees from participating in the activities of the Sangh. The RSS said that the decision will strengthen the democratic system of the country. It also accused the previous governments of banning government employees from participating in the activities of the Sangh due to their political interests.

RSS said, the democratic system will be strengthened

A day after the government order lifting the ban was made public, RSS spokesperson Sunil Ambekar said in a statement that the government’s latest decision is appropriate and will strengthen India’s democratic system. Many opposition leaders have criticized the Center’s decision to lift the ban on government employees from participating in the activities of the Sangh. Ambekar said that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has been continuously active in the reconstruction of the nation and serving the society for the last 99 years.

He said, the country’s leadership at various levels has time and again praised the role of the Sangh due to its contribution in national security, unity and integrity and in taking the society along during natural calamities. Ambekar alleged that due to political interests, the then government had imposed an unfounded ban on the participation of government employees in the activities of constructive organisations like the Sangh.
