Pannalal, the SHO of Narhi police station who was absconding in a corruption case in Ballia, has been arrested. He was arrested by the SOG team from Gorakhpur. He was absconding since the extortion scandal was exposed. After which all the policemen of the police station including Pannalal were suspended. So far 18 policemen related to this scandal have been arrested.
Every day Rs 5 lakh was recovered
DIG Azamgarh Vaibhav Krishna and ADG Varanasi Zone Piyush had exposed this entire matter in a joint operation. After the operation, DIG Azamgarh Vaibhav Krishna and ADG Varanasi Zone Piyush told that about 5 lakh rupees were collected daily on the UP-Bihar border by the policemen of Narhi police station. Because about 1000 trucks used to pass through the border every day and Rs 500 was taken from all the trucks.

Pannelal’s room was sealed
After the disclosure of the extortion scandal, Panne Lal’s room was sealed. Sources claimed that a red diary was also recovered from his room. In such a situation, it is being claimed that many big secrets of extortion can be revealed from this diary. Now that he has been arrested, it is believed that all the secrets related to the extortion scandal can come out and many big faces can also be exposed.
Pannelal was posted in Narhi for two years
DIG Azamgarh Vaibhav Krishna and ADG Varanasi Zone Piyush said that SHO Pannalal was posted in Narhi police station for the last 2 years. At the same time, many other policemen posted in this police station were also serving for the last several years. The case was revealed by DIG Azamgarh Vaibhav Krishna and ADG Varanasi Zone Piyush by posing as truck cleaners.
