Terror of man-eating wolves in Bahraich, wolf spotted in Rajpur Kalan village – VIDEO

The terror of wolves in Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh has become a big problem for the people these days. A wolf was also seen in Rajpur Kalan village on Wednesday night, which created fear among the local people. The villagers saw the wolf and tried to surround it. When people showed torch light, the wolf ran away into the forest.

These days, about 30 villages in Bahraich district are affected by the terror of wolves. In the last two months, wolves have made seven people their prey, including women and children. Dozens of people have been injured. These man-eating wolves are quite active in the northern part of the district, especially in the Terai areas like Chakia, Sujauli, Nishanagara, Mihinpurwa, Bichhiya and Baghauli forests. Even in the Katarniaghat area, the same situation prevails.

Three man-eating wolves caught

According to the district forest department, three man-eating wolves have been caught so far and it is estimated that three more wolves are active. Drones and tranquilizers are being used to catch them. Officials say that when wolves are unable to hunt their natural prey, they prey on weaker victims such as women and children.

Man-eating wolves killed five children

Chief Forest Conservator Renu Singh told Aaj Tak, “Earlier we used to hear this story ‘wolf came, wolf came’, so the conflict between humans and wolves is not a new thing. It is definitely true that this time it has reached a more dangerous level. According to the investigation, five children have been killed by man-eating wolves, two cases are suspicious, it seems that this whole family of wolves has become man-eaters. Three have been caught and full preparations are on to catch all of them soon.

The wolf entered the house and attacked the man

A wolf entered a house in Kulela village late on Wednesday night and tried to drag a man away. However, the man made noise due to which the wolf ran away. In rural areas, houses are close to forests and the walls and doors of these houses are usually open, due to which wolves can easily enter the houses. At night, wolves easily enter the houses and take away children.

Wolves are being monitored with rifles and sticks

Due to the terror of wolves, Minister of State for Forests Arun Saxena also visited Bahraich. He assured the villagers of safety and said that all security measures are being taken and the wolves will be caught soon. At present, people of 50 villages are living in fear.

Earlier on Tuesday, BJP MLA from Mahsi constituency Sureshwar Singh, along with others, monitored the pack of wolves with rifles and sticks. He also warned the people of the area about wolf attacks and boosted the morale of the people troubled by wolf attacks.
