Terror still prevails in the wolf-affected villages of Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh. Police and forest department teams are patrolling day and night. Along with this, they are also trying to make people aware so that by identifying the paws of wolves, it becomes easier to reach them. The wolves can be caught soon.

There is no end to the terror in the hearts of people in Bahraich, UP. Despite the continuous operation being carried out by the forest department, no trace of the two man-eating wolves is being found. The forest department team from seven districts is searching every inch of the area. They are trying to completely end the terror of wolves that has been going on for 55 days. Strict monitoring is being done to catch the wolves. But despite this, they have not been successful so far.

The forest department team is using new technology to search for wolves. Efforts are being made through thermal drones. Actually, the area of ​​Bahraich where there is terror of wolves is such that it is easy for wolves to attack and hide in the fields. In such a situation, catching them remains very difficult. The villagers are scared. The forest department officials are making every effort to free the villagers from the terror of wolves. Rapid response team has also been deployed.

There is news of a wolf being seen somewhere. The Rapid Response Team reaches there immediately. It starts searching for the wolves. A plan to shoot the dreaded wolves to control them has also been prepared. The government has made it clear that if the wolves are caught then it is fine, otherwise there is no hesitation in shooting them. The effort is to save the villagers from wolf attacks as soon as possible. The terror of wolves should be ended as soon as possible.

Crime

The villagers have found a new way to save their families from wolves. People are staying awake the whole night. They are keeping watch with sticks. They are helping the patrolling teams. These days people in the villages of Bahraich are spending their nights awake. Even the slightest sound makes the villagers panic thinking that it might be a wolf. Due to the awareness of the people and the promptness of the administration, four wolves have been caught so far. But two are still at large.

These two remaining wolves have become a terror for about 35 villages of Bahraich. They have been attacking people intermittently for the last two months. They are killing children. In such a situation, a team of Aaj Tak reached the wolf-affected villages at midnight. Took stock of the situation there. At around 12.45 in the night, Aaj Tak’s team reached Piparia village of Bahraich. There it was found that the villagers have found a new way to protect themselves. There are 6 people in a house, out of which 3 are awake and 3 are sleeping. Family members say that to avoid the wolves, they are sleeping in shifts. So that the family can be protected.

SHO Upendra Kumar said that the police team is continuously patrolling the affected villages. As soon as any activity is seen, the police alerts the forest department. The team reached Kewalpur village at around 1:30 in the night. There a family was sleeping outside the house. The police team immediately explained to them and sent them inside the house. They reached Manjha Dariya village at around 2 o’clock. The people here appeared more alert than before. The cots kept outside were empty. People were sleeping safely inside the house.

Crime

The Forest Department of Uttar Pradesh has started putting up big banners to make people aware in wolf-infested areas of Bahraich. Footprints of wolf, jackal, hyena, tiger and leopard have been shown in the banners so that there is no confusion among the villagers about the identity of the animal. Along with this, a long list of what to do and what not to do in wolf-infested areas has also been put up. The Forest Department is constantly trying to catch the wolves.

About 250 people from the forest department are constantly camping in the wolf-affected villages. Surveillance and patrolling is going on day and night. Drone cameras with thermal imaging systems are scanning the surrounding area. The effort is that if a pair of wolves is seen roaming around, they should be surrounded and killed. At present, it has been almost two months since Bahraich has been scared of wolves. Operation Bhedia is still going on.
