Tata Curvv: After electric, now ‘Tata Curv’ launched in petrol-diesel version, the price is this much

Tata Curve Petrol-Diesel Price and Features: Tata Motors today officially launched the ICE version (petrol-diesel) of its new coupe style SUV Tata Curvv in the domestic market for sale. Earlier, the company has launched its electric version Curvv EV. Equipped with attractive looks and powerful engine, this mid-size SUV has been launched at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh. The price of its top model goes up to Rs 17.69 lakh (ex-showroom).

Look and Design:

The coupe body style of the Tata Curvv is unlike the traditional boxy design that is common in the mid-size SUV market. Its aerodynamics are very different, which will help it to give it new speed. The sloping roof of the Curvv will help it move faster in the opposite direction of the wind. While its large wheels, increased ground clearance will help it provide balanced driving even at high speeds. The company is introducing it in two new color shades which include Virtual Sunrise in the electric version and Gold Essence in the petrol version.

The cabin is awesome:

Tata Motors says that the Tata Curve is practically designed for the Indian family who likes to go out for long drives. The Curve comes with a modern and modern interior with its SUV coupe design. Its premium appeal has been emphasized and the cabin has been equipped with first-in-class technology and features. It will also get a panoramic sunroof as well as a better boot space of 500 liters to meet the needs of the customers.

Power and performance:

Based on the new Atlas platform, the Tata Curve is offered with 3 different engine options. There is a choice of a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine (120hp power and 170Nm torque), a 1.5-liter diesel (118hp, 260 Nm) and Tata’s new 1.2-liter direct-injection turbo-petrol ‘Hyperion’ engine that generates 125hp power and 225Nm torque. All three engines come with a standard 6-speed manual as well as a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic option. This makes it the only mass-market diesel car in India that offers a dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Tata Motors says that special work has been done to make the cabin of this car premium. It has 6-way power adjustable driver seat, premium leatherette ventilated seat, second row seat with recline function, cabin mood lighting with customization system, 26 cm digital cockpit which comes with multi-dial-view. It also has blind spot monitoring site, arcade.ev facility has also been provided in it which supports more than 20 OTT platforms and apps.

To make driving entertaining, Tata has included 9 speakers of JBL in it. Apart from this, this SUV has also been equipped with multiple voice command system. Which takes commands in many regional languages ​​of India. Which includes Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and Bengali. Curve Advance comes with Superior Digital 4-spoke steering wheel, it also includes paddle shifters, powered tailgate, wireless charger.

Amazing safety features:

Like its other models, Tata has tried its best to make this SUV safe. It has a Level-2 Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) system. Apart from this, features like 6 airbags (as standard), 3-point ELR seatbelt, seat-belt ankle pretensioner, ISOFIX child seat ankle, 360-degree surround view camera, front parking sensor, stability control program (ESP), emergency braking, JBL cinematic infotainment system are available.

It has a special automatic emergency braking system. Which gets activated in advance in case of collision with any object coming from the front of the car. This will also ensure the safety of pedestrians walking on the road. The company says that this car has been tested in inaccessible hilly areas like Sandakphu, located in the lap of the Himalayas, which is about 11,930 feet high. Tata Motors hopes that this SUV will get a 5-star rating in the crash test.

Tata Curvv: Price and Variants

The Curve is being offered in a total of eight variants, including Smart, Pure+, Pure+ S, Creative, Creative S, Creative+ S, Accomplished S and Accomplished+ A. The entry-level petrol variant is priced at Rs 10 lakh, while the base model of the diesel version starts at Rs 11.49 lakh. Apart from this, the direct-injection turbo-petrol engine starts from the Creative S variant, which is priced at Rs 13.99 lakh.

It is important to note here that Tata Motors has not revealed the prices of all the variants of Curvv ICE. The prices of all the trims of the automatic variants are yet to be announced. The price of the entry-level petrol-DCT (dual clutch transmission) variant starts at Rs 12.49 lakh, while the price of the entry-level diesel-DCT starts at Rs 13.99 lakh.

Tata Curvv can prove to be a better option for new car buyers. In the market, Curv competes with the new Citroen Basalt coupe-SUV, while it can also be seen as an alternative to mid-size SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyrider, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor and Skoda Kushak.
