This record was made by the opening pair of Japan. A T20 match was held between Japan and China on 15 February 2024. In which Japanese openers Lachlan Yamamoto-Lake and captain Kendel Kadowaki-Fleming together scored an unbeaten 258 runs.

For the team, Vansh Bedi played a fiery innings of 96 runs in 41 balls, but could not make the team win. While captain Arpit Rana scored 27 runs. In bowling for East Delhi Riders, left-arm spinner Harsh Tyagi took the maximum of 3 wickets. Mayank Rawat and Bhagwan Singh took 2-2 wickets each.
