Indian players are showing their strength even on the sixth day of Paris Olympics 2024 i.e. on 1st August. On this sixth day, Indian shooter Swapnil Kusale created history in shooting. Swapnil won bronze by finishing third in the final of men’s 50m rifle three position. Swapnil won bronze by scoring a total of 451.4 points.
If we look at it, this is the first time that an Indian shooter has won a medal in the 50 meter rifle three position event of the Olympics. This is India’s third medal in the current Olympic Games. Before this, India’s last two medals also came in shooting. This means that for the first time India has won three medals in shooting in an Olympic season.
Let us tell you that after the end of the kneeling and prone series, 29-year-old Swapnil Kusale was at number five with 310.1 points. But he made a great comeback in the standing series. In kneeling, the shooter shoots while sitting on his knees, while in prone, shooting is done by lying down on the ground. Whereas in standing, the shooter shoots while standing.
